Reliance - Nokia Mobile Phones

My friend just bought a Nokia 1255 Handset. He was earlier using a LG handset whose battery is not available at LG service center.

He wanted to retain the old number and change the handset (which is possible in GSM in 1 minute after changing the card), he was not able to do that.

Now he is paying his postpaid bills to reliance and the services are not running. Handset dealer refused to take back the handset saying it's problem with reliance.Sarcastic

I wont say how bad reliance customer care is since we know it. So Alert/Advice for you:

Don't waste your money, time & patience on Nokia Reliance handsets.

Now the Nokia Reliance handsets are only for new connections as per Reliance web world representatives.

Reliance web world people have knowledge of it, still reliance is selling Nokia handsets and no such thing is mentioned on reliance website!!Surprised

Did any of us also had the same problem or any problem while changing CDMA handsets?

Also how is the response of new classic handsets and land lines?

Reliance Netconnect - No Connection only TENSION

I had to regularly visit web world every weekend because my prepaid connection is not working due to handset change error (this is another post, so I will mail the whole story later when it completes), so I have got a chance to meet the reliance netconnect customers over there.

Man, I really pity on them. I met a girl who saw a advertisement in the newspaper and later on the reliance which claims to have a speed upto 144 kbps.Eye-rolling

I don' doubt this. This may be the upper limit. That girl thought that see would get atleast some decent speed on the net to study online and connect to her family and friends. So Fare enough, she decided to go for the reliance connection and this is start of her misery.Pumpkin

The speeds on the reliance netconnect are PATHETHIC. This might be a very good word to use for, The speeds are so low in a day that you Yahoo Messanger or Gtalk would log off you or you can send even a simple text mail(if you can open that you mail by any luck)At wits end

The speeds i saw during a demo was just 5kpbs in a reliance web world. I dont understand that if the spped are so poor than why they are selling it.

BEWARE of this. reliance netconnect is the worst service which is heavily priced. Here are how you end up paying even higher:

1. No Speed at all: Very Pathetic speeds are provided. Don't make fun of yourself in front of your friends by showing your netconnect card. Surprise

2. Deaf and Dumb customer care: Just dial 3033-3333 with your STD code and experience it yourself. At morning 7:30 AM, if you try you can hear “All our customer service executives are busy handling other customer”,
Okay but after 10-15 minutes of patience a chap will come and after listening your story will say you that there servers are going in up gradation, so call us in one hour something”. How if the servers are not working still all executives are busy in the morning itself!! Also manytimes they will order you to visit web world (Sick...Nothing is web here, you have to physically walk inLighting)

3. NO technical support: If you are having difficulty then there in no one who will listen you for your woes. If you ask them that you want to configure a connection on Mac or Linux, they will charge extra for that.
They ask to install silly software like Netbooster which is completely useless. I used it and found no change in speed. In fact the quality of images in webpages went down coz it tries to show images with lower quality to speed up the page loading. Knowledgeable reliance engineers will ask you to update the windows patches. Rolling on the floor

4. Inflated Bills: This is a culture in reliance. A trainer came to our office and during lunch he saw a reliance mobile in some one’s hand (Good that not many people use reliance mobiles – atleast none of my friend), so he said that for three months he had netconnect card. One month the bill was 3000, next month was 3500, and third month was 3200 when third month he didn’t used that card!!. I know that reliance are cheaters and nothing else. Also they will make you pay the bill by extortionreliance will ask you to pay the bill else they will have a case against you.
Poor customer has to pay the bills even after no service is provided because no one cares to go to the court for five thousand rupees. Better if you don’t fall in the trap like my trainer.Sad

You can search on the internet or better ask your friend if they are using it before buying it. Reliance netconnect in my locality is awful.

Also a word of suggestion that if you are having complaint in reliance please have complaint number for your records or if you have some experiences with reliance share it for the benefit of all.

Thinking

Improve your services reliance and then come up with products.

Airtel Selling customer’s numbers to bank to trouble customers and make extra money - Violation of Right to Privacy

Today I was sleeping in the afternoon enjoying my sleep Sleepy; suddenly I got a call from my Airtel phone. None of my friend generally calls me at 10 AM because they know my sleeping habits.
So I have to pick up the phone, I took the call and responded:

Me: Hello
Caller: Hello, can I speak to Mr Ashwin Malik (my name)
Me: Yes, May I know who is there?
Caller: Sir, I am calling from UTI Bank. Its regards to a personal loan
Me: Okay, But from where do you get my Name and number? I didn’t applied from any personal loan Confused
Caller: Sir, I got it from database
Me: Which database, I didn’t visited UTI branch in my life
Caller: Sir, I got it from Airtel’s database
Me: Go and sell your loan to Airtel only and don’t dare to call me again and bother me you fxxxxr Angry

This is the phone number of the caller if you anyone wants to check it: +91-80-26588141
(Got Address from BSNL directory: JP NGR BR,37/953,24,2,J P NAGAR,560 078,Bangalore)

I am not sure if the numbers are sold at a company level or at which level. I just know that my fault was just that I am a Airtel customer and without my knowledge my information is distributed freely which I surely thing is the Violation of my right to privacy.Vampire Bat

This was conducted by Airtel and UTI without my consent and this amount to the violation of my right to privacy.

There are many instances of this with my friends where they also received calls like that. The honorable Supreme Court of India makes such directions to banks to stop irking customer on phone as this is invasion of my privacy. My mobile number is my personal stuff and it’s my right to distribute it on my own for my own use.

Many times I happen to be out of station and was charged for these calls. Let me tell you I had registered myself in “Do not call” list on the Airtel website, still I am getting these calls. On the phone

This caller today knows my names. What happens is most of the times is the caller will just refer us a Sir or Madam depending on your voice.

  • Banks will employ agents to find customer on their behalf and give commission to these agents
  • Rule is simple, more the customers, more the commission
  • These agents then employ semi-literate girls looking for a job of 2500 INR or 63 USD per month and they call customers and just say a script. If the customer is interested the call is transferred to some person who really got a food for the day
What should be done:

  • These cheap tactics should be stopped by the government and the RBI
  • Banks should not give such calls to bother customers like us
  • Phone companies should abide the law of the land and respect the privacy of their customers

Thinking

Lay off Airtel and limit your freedom (Asi Azzadi aur kahan)

Tata Indicom SUCKS SO Avoid Tata Indicom

My friend working in my office was really frustrated today. He needs to check an important mail today from his home but was not able to do that since his internet connection was downAt wits end. Internet not working was very normal for him since he uses Tata Indicom broadband but since today he felt that he had made a fool of himself by going for Tata Indicom customer.

So now when he calls customer care first of all the number is not reachable and if he makes 20-30 tries he will get a customer care representative that will just take a complaint or simply keep the phone down to make life easy on them.Devil

Tata Indicom Business Strategy

Make new customers by marketing cheap products in a way customer is attracted towards them. Don’t care for the customer after that.

  • Tata Indicom has a business model that just makes fool of public hoping to get a better service for a cheaper price. Yes, this is the mantra of Tata Indicom - duping the customers.
First it launches a scheme that seems to be quite economical, cheap and sophisticated and makes you feel that you are genius that you actually went for that service. But actually after you are duped this company will not care about you.

  • There is no after sales service. Atleast I know for Delhi, there are two customer care center that really sucks. The executives there, environment doen’t resemble that of a good company. To give you an idea, the AC was not working there in the Peak summer season. You guessed it right, it was Voltas – Tata one.

  • If you have got prepaid connection, your money will be deducted even if you don’t make any calls. if due date is not passed , still sometimes while making calls, it won’t let you do that. Also I tried making a call to 197 for enquiring a changed number, I tried it four times, and nothing happened but my money for that calls were deducted for that free call!! WeirdDevil

  • If you call their customer care center, the guy will cut your call. Man they are ALL outsourced, so there is no one to take care of you.

  • The security is not refunded. I surrendered my phone at their office and was told that I will be getting security in 45 days. After 45 days I again went there and was told that the security can’t be processed because my connection is more than one year old. The guy told me there that this is the response of their backend staff and he can just take a complaint from me.
I managed to get back them on track after I logged a complaint with pehredar@moneycontrol.com
. This TV program was really helpful

  • They will ask for whole month bill for a postpaid connection. Even if there services are down 29 days a month

  • Tata Indicom executives asking for bribes to replace handsets and modemsNot worthy

  • My neighbor on Delhi got a connection from authorized Tata distributor in Delhi (whose name still appears on the website). After two months an executive came to their home asking for 20,000 bucks. There were two phones registered on their same from the same dealer on the address proof which was given for their phone they were using. They don’t gave the money but sure there peace of mind and self respect was lost due to Tata Indicom.

  • Even people working in TCS don’t use Tata phone!!

  • I know that in Delhi when the Tata Indicom was launched the people moved from MTNL to Tata due to good marketing by Tata. Within a year people again moved to MTNL as Tata services are really horrible

  • Now in 2007 Tata Teleservices are not doing fine in the market. It is now gain trying to come in business with new campaigns like “Connection not even dropping in the elevators” – but actually you won’t get connection even if you are not in elevator!!

Frustrated
Stay Away Tata

So moral of the story:

Don’t ever go for Tata even if you find offer, availability quite tempting if you don’t want to lose your money, Self respect, piece of mind and Let Tata Indicom give time to improve their services, till then...

TATA INDICOM SUCKS
